Bookings and Stays
Our minimum stay is for 2 nights. Check in and check out is 7 days a week, so you can configure your stay to suit your needs and travel arrangements.
We can take bookings up to 18 months in advance on our calendar. A 20% deposit is taken at the time of booking.
Yes absolutely. We have 6 Barns in total, and we can sleep up to 18 people. The whole of Longstones can be booked out on our booking calendar, or else you can book a combination of Barns. Bedrooms can be made up in different configurations as double or twin bedrooms in our larger Barns. Ridgeway and Kennet have an inter-connecting door, which does make these two Barns ideal for being taken together.
Location and Getting Here
Longstones is located in Avebury Trusloe, on the western edge of Avebury village. The site is equidistant from Marlborough, Devizes and Calne, all being 7 miles away. Swindon and Chippenham are 12 miles away by car, both leading on to the M4 motorway.
We have a car port providing covered car parking. Each Barn has space for one car in the car port. There is additional parking directly adjacent to our site. Ridgeway Barn has it’s own private driveway with parking for 2 cars. Please do contact us if you are bringing multiple cars.
Longstones is 7 minute walk from our site into Avebury High Street and the Stone Cricle. There is a footpath which takes you through some meadows and then along a tarmac path. There is no need to drive in to the village, but if you wish, the public car park is less than 2 minutes away.
The nearest train stations to Longstones are Swindon, Pewsey and Chippenham, which are all 20 minutes drive away. London Paddington to Swindon is 55 minutes on the train. There are taxis and a bus service from Swindon station to Avebury on the No 49 bus. Longstones is a 10 minute walk from the Avebury High Street bus stop, or less than a 5 minute walk from the Avebury Trusloe bus stop. Marlborough has a bus service to Avebury as well on the No 42 bus.
There are 5 EV chargers on site, located within the car port run by Monta. So plenty of access and no need to book in advance.
Policies and Extras
All the Barns are pet friendly apart from Eve. Windmill Hill, Horslip and Adam have enclosed fenced gardens or patios. We ask that dogs are kept off the furniture and beds, and are never left unattended in the Barn. A small additional cleaning fee is applied during the booking process and please make sure gardens are left clean before departure.
Check in is from 3pm and Check out is by 11am.
We have quiet hours on the site from 11pm through to 7am. This out of respect for our Neighbours and fellow Guests. We request that Hot tubs are not to be used during these quiet hours.
We can recommend a number of local companies who can provide catering services and flower deliveries. You are welcome to bring your own decorations for your celebrations.
